Moss Side Magic - October’s Rockin’ Roundup
Another busy month has unfolded in Moss Side as the team continues their dedicated work at St Mary’s and Webster Primary School. A big thanks is extended to Rising Tide AI for making this enriching experience happen. Webster Primary School recently held their half-termly music showcase, featuring fantastic and vibrant performances from their talented Year 3 cohort, the enthusiastic Year 5 students, and the impressive Year 6 rock band. Meanwhile, St Mary’s is diligently continuing their preparations as they work towards their exciting end-of-term Christmas showcase, which promises to be a delightful event for all.
A word from Siobhon:
We had a great month at Webster working towards their excellent showcase concert before half term focussing on songs by artists from various eras of music from the Rolling Stones to Taylor Swift and even homegrown Manchester legends Oasis. After half term we have begun work towards our Christmas showcase with some beloved festive classics by Wham and Shakin Stevens.
The children at St Mary’s enjoyed working on a rendition of Ghostbusters for Halloween and I worked with the singers on exploring different ways to perform the song and add spookiness to their singing. Another group have been working on Don't Worry Be Happy and experimenting with singing in harmony.
These sessions are thanks to Rising Tide AI and their generous funding for the 2024/25 academic year.
